8. Creating Workouts and Workout Programs

Workouts allow you to create a list of Drills or Exercises that make it easy for your athlete to complete. Drills or Exercises must already be uploaded to their respective libraries before they can be added into a Workout.

Once all of the Drills or Exercises are created in their libraries, the following sets of instructions will help you create Workout Programs in your MaxOne account.

By adding your workouts within a Workout Program, it gives you the ability to strategically combine your workouts over a period of time(Days/Weeks) and easily organize your workouts.

 

 

Creating a New Workout

  1. Login to your Coach MaxOne account and head to the “Training” tab
  2. Click on the “Workouts” tab at the top of your Training page and then click “Add Workout”
  3. Name your overall Workout Program, and consider adding an optional description or further athlete instructions in the field provided
  4. Decide whether you want to create a Series-based Workout or a Circuit-based Workout by clicking the Green toggle button then click “Add Series” or “Add Circuit” on the right side panel of your screen For a description see "Difference between Circuit & Series"
  5. In the window that appears, select the toggle button of 'Drills' or 'Exercises' (whichever is applicable) and click to select the ones you would like to add to that specific Circuit/Series. Make sure to scroll to the bottom of that window and click “Add Activity” or “Add Activities”

**Note: Activities will populate to workout in the order you click them

  1. Add any tags you wish to associate with the Workout for quick searches and organization
  2. Click ‘Save’

 

Adding More Workouts to Your Workout Program

  1. To add more workouts to your Workout Program, head to the left side panel in that same tab
  2. You can add a new Workout to that same week by clicking “Add Day”
  3. To add more weeks to your Workout Program, click “Add Week”
  4. You can edit previous Days Workouts by clicking on the down arrow next to the day. From here you can:
    1. rename the workout
    2. move to the previous or next day
    3. duplicate that day which will copy that same day’s Workout
  5. You can edit Weeks by clicking the down arrow next to the week. From here you can:
    1. move to Next or Previous week
    2. add Workout to week
    3. Delete or Duplicate week

**Tip: Duplicating Days Workouts and duplicating Weeks allows you to easily create multiple multiple weeks of Workouts for your overall Workout Program in minutes!

 

Change Number of Sets, Reps and Percent of Max

  1. After 'Creating a Workout' you can enter the number of Sets, Reps and Percentage of Max for Strength exercises.
  2. Click to the right of each number for sets, reps, % of max
  3. Delete that default number if it's incorrect and enter the new number
  4. Make sure to 'Save' workout at bottom of the page

Add Rounds (Sets) to an Exercise(s)

To add a set to an Individual Activity

  1. Click the down arrow button to the right of the Activity
  2. Select "Add a Round" from the drop down
  3. Adjust the "Sets" number and change the "Reps" and "% of max" to your desired quantities
  4. Make sure to "Save" workout at bottom of the page

 

To add a set to ALL Activities in a Circuit/Series

  1. Click the down arrow button to the right of the Circuit/Series
  2. Select "Add a Round to All Activities" from the drop down
  3. Adjust the "Sets" number and change the "Reps" and "% of max" to your desired quantities
  4. Make sure to "Save" workout at bottom of the page

 

Add Another Activity to a Circuit/Series

  1. Click the down arrow to the right of the specific Circuit/Series where you want add another Drill/Exercise
  2. Click "Add Activities to Circuit/Series #" from the drop down
  3. In the window that appears, select the toggle button of Drills/Exercises to add to that specific Circuit/Series
  4. Click "Add Activities"
  5. Make sure to "Save" workout at bottom of the page
